NEWBA is a non-profit organization with no vested water interests. We welcome everyone with an interest in water to come together to share perspectives/ideas and help develop WIN-WIN strategies to ensure water for generations.

In the last decade new technologies, processes and understanding have opened the door to a whole new array of potential water management strategies. NEWBA seeks to advance widespread grass-roots adoption of promising, practical strategies by expanding awareness and use at the grass roots level.

Water is a renewable resource that is hydrologically connected. Changes in ground or surface water use can impact the other – positively or negatively. We also need to understand how proposed strategies impact both BLUE water (liquid water in rivers, lakes, canals and aquifer) and GREEN water (moisture returning to the atmosphere through evaporation /transpiration). A comprehensive approach is the best way to avoid unintended consequences.
